It had been seven long years since I last updated my blog, “New Business Ideas”. The final post was back in 2018, leaving the blog abandoned and outdated. Over the years, I was often tempted to sell it, but given its neglected state, I doubted it would fetch enough to justify the investment I had made. And I had invested a lot—mostly in hiring copywriters to produce content, though I wrote some articles myself as well. Ultimately, I never sold it, partly because I didn’t have the time to deal with the process.

Reflecting on Past Content

The blog’s content at the time primarily focused on offline business ideas, Amazon products, and similar topics. While this wasn’t bad, it didn’t feel practical enough for readers. My vision was for the blog to offer actionable insights, enabling readers to start making money immediately. Today, this is more feasible in the online realm than ever before.

When I began writing articles again, I initially stuck to the old style. For example, my first new post was about a unique business concept: an ice hotel in Iceland and how it generates revenue. While interesting, I quickly realized I needed to pivot.

A New Direction: Practicality and Relevance

As the New Year approached, I decided to write a second article on time management tips for the coming year. This felt more aligned with my new vision: content that was not only engaging but also practical and directly useful for readers.

To speed up the writing process, I leaned heavily on ChatGPT. This allowed me to produce articles more efficiently while still maintaining a high standard of quality.

Lessons Learned

This experience reinforced a crucial lesson: sticking to outdated methods can lead to stagnation. The world changes rapidly, and staying relevant means adapting to trends and focusing on the needs of your audience. For my blog, that meant moving away from generic offline ideas and shifting toward actionable online opportunities.
